During the service on November 8, we will take a moment to thank the folks who add so much to our worship service week in and out.
To our choir director, Lauren Hill,
to our musicians, Elizabeth Walters and Helen Phifer
to our choir,
We say thank you!
Thank you for sharing the gifts God gave you
as you help us worship and give praise to
our audience of One!
Spirit of the Living God, we give thanks for your Word that touches us in the melodies and harmonies of life.
From the first bird in the morning until the last cricket at night, with instruments of string and reed and bell, with brass and pipe and voice, the sounds of your presence surround us.
May our ears be opened to hear your glorious song.
Spirit of the Living God, we give thanks for the gift of music as it moves among us and stirs us, young and old alike.
We thank you for the ways in which our music serves to express our faith, our longings, and our hope
.May our lives and our ministries nurture your gifts of music and of song.
Spirit of the Living God, we thank you for the musicians who inspire us to praise and worship, for those who strum and pipe and play; for those who blend their voices.
May we offer our appreciation, respect and admiration for the dedication of those who share their gifts with us.
May our lives be worthy of your beauty and your truth, and may our talents be exercised for your glory
All praise and thanks to you, Creator God, for the message of hymn, rhythm, anthem and voice.
May our music-making honor and glorify you, now and always. Amen.
